I hope that by sharing my art, I can provide a little sliver of hope in a time filled with so much hatred and wrong. I want to be involved in the BLM movement because I feel it is absolutely necessary for us as Americans (and especially myself as a white woman) to stand by our black brothers and sisters and put a stop to the racist behaviors they face daily. We need to educate each other, check on each other, and donate to black charities in need during this time. Standing on the sidelines and watching black men die at the hands of police brutality year after year needs to come to a stop. We are the only ones who can do that. I want to stand with the black community and let them know that I hear their voices."
